Privacy Policy

Talent Findo ("we," "us," "our") provides a browser extension and web application that helps recruiters and hiring teams organize candidates they find on LinkedIn. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect information when you use our website, application or browser extension.

Who this policy applies to

This policy covers two different groups of people, because Talent Findo's product involves both:

Account holders — the recruiters and hiring team members who sign up for Talent Findo, install our browser extension, and use our dashboard.
Candidates — the individuals whose LinkedIn profile information our account holders choose to save into their team's candidate pool.

If you're a candidate whose information appears in a Talent Findo customer's pool, we are processing your data on behalf of that customer — see "If you are a candidate" below.

Information we collect

From account holders

Account information: username, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text).
Organization information: your team/company name, and who else is a member of your organization.
Billing information: if you upgrade to a paid plan, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card details directly — we never see or store your full card number. We do store your subscription status and a Stripe-assigned customer ID.
Usage information: how many candidates you've saved, which features you use, and similar data needed to run the product and enforce plan limits.

From candidates, via our customers' use of the extension

When one of our customers uses the Talent Findo browser extension, it can save the following information from a LinkedIn profile they are actively viewing:

Name, headline, location, and (best-effort) current company and country
The public LinkedIn profile URL
A short summary of listed work experience
Contact information (email/phone), only if the customer explicitly uses our optional contact-enrichment feature, which queries a third-party data provider

We do not collect this information in bulk or automatically — it is saved one profile at a time, only when a Talent Findo customer actively chooses to save it while viewing that profile themselves. The extension only accesses information necessary for this stated functionality; you can review the permissions shown when installing it.

Automatically collected information

Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and debugging purposes.

How we use this information

To provide and operate the Talent Findo service (the candidate pool, search, pipeline tracking, team invites)
To create and manage user accounts
To process payments and manage subscriptions
To send transactional emails: team invites, plan-limit notices, billing receipts, and renewal reminders
To maintain the security and integrity of our service and prevent abuse
To provide customer support
To comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use candidate data for advertising. Users are responsible for ensuring that their use of candidate information complies with applicable privacy, employment, data-protection and other laws and regulations.

Third parties we share data with

Stripe — payment processing, for paid subscriptions
[Zoho] — to deliver transactional emails
— only if your organization uses the contact-enrichment feature; the LinkedIn URL of the specific candidate being enriched is sent to this provider to look up a work email
Hosting/infrastructure providers necessary to run our servers

We do not share data with third parties for their own marketing purposes, and we do not sell personal information as part of the ordinary operation of Talent Findo. We may disclose information where required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect our users, our service, or our legal rights.

Third-party websites

Talent Findo may be used while visiting third-party websites, including professional networking platforms. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we don't control.

If you are a candidate

If your LinkedIn profile information has been saved into a Talent Findo customer's candidate pool, Talent Findo is acting as a service provider to that customer, who controls what data is collected and why. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, please contact the organization that saved it directly. If you don't know which organization that is, contact us at [privacy@talentfindo.com] and we will make reasonable efforts to help.

Data retention

We retain account and candidate data for as long as an account remains active, plus a reasonable period afterward for legal and operational purposes. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at [hello@talentfindo.com].

Security

We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, hashed passwords, access controls) to protect your information, but no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

Talent Findo is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 18.

International data transfers

Our servers are located in [Big Rock - India]. If you access Talent Findo from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed there.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date.
